Every Mark Counts

Burnt orange and white dots packed tight across the frame, each one placed with intention. This is a close-up pulled right into the surface of an Aboriginal dot painting, the circular motifs sitting off-center to the right where they hold their ground without asking permission. The pattern doesn't repeat so much as it breathes, one mark leading to the next in a logic older than anything I could explain.
